Privacy Notice

This notice describes what information may be collected when you use this site, how that information is used, and when it may be disclosed. By continuing to use the site, you accept the practices stated here.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search Tools

A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted to the independent provider operating that tool. Morton County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s terms and privacy rules govern its handling of the query.

Messages Sent to Us

If you email us or use an available contact form, we retain the message and reply details as needed to respond. We do not share those communications outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.

Information Collected Automatically

Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising technology may record technical information when a page loads.

  • Your internet protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring page or site, when supplied
  • Date and time information

Cookies and Similar Storage

Cookies help measure how people use the site and may support analytics or advertising. You can block or remove cookies through your browser settings, although some site functions may then behave differently.

How Information Is Used

Collected information supports the operation and improvement of the service.

  • Maintain site function, performance, and reliability
  • Send a search request to the selected partner service
  • Measure which pages and resources visitors find useful
  • Detect, diagnose, and repair technical problems
  • Display advertising that may reflect inferred interests

Other Websites and Advertising

Links may lead to Morton County offices, Kansas courts and corrections systems, federal locators, release-record sources, and private search services. After you follow a link, the destination’s own privacy policy controls its collection and use of information.

Some advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That cross-site processing takes place through the partner’s systems, not a database maintained by Morton County Released Inmates.

Parties Receiving Information

We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be provided to the following recipients when needed for the stated operation or when law requires it.

  • Search providers that process a submitted query
  • Analytics companies that measure site use
  • Advertising networks that deliver and assess ads
  • Law enforcement or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Security Measures and Limits

Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No internet connection, server, or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and the information we actually hold, you may make the following requests.

  • Ask for a copy of personal information held about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Ask for deletion of eligible personal information
  • Object to or opt out of certain processing where that choice applies

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this privacy notice as the site, vendors, or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with its updated effective date.
